MEC Motlhabane to lead Letsema in Madibogo Village through the de-bushing to enhance 'safety and visibility'

Due to the high crime rate escalating in and around, Ward 12, RDP Houses, Madibogo village, the North West MEC for Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Dr Mpho Motlhabane will embark on an intense Letsema program of de-bushing the forest in the notorious crime hot-spot areas.

MEC Motlhabane will lead volunteers, community members and officials on activities of Letsema under the theme of "Crime Prevention through Environmental Design" which includes, grass cutting / de-bushing, replacing streets bulbs, painting of police station, cleaning of recreational parks and graveyards.

“Following numerous cases regarding the crime that is continuing to happen in this area, community safety is one of the responsibilities of the department, so we have decided to bring Letsema here to maintain visibility and priorities safety and stability in the community" MEC Motlhabane said.

The Departmental MEC will be accompanied by the Ratlou Local Municipality Mayor, councillors and Traditional Leaders in this goodwill gesture.
